A night time swim (not for you) and possible celebrity sighting in NYC

This press release caught my eye because of the night swimming but they also do a lot of name dropping. As I started writing this thing I realized the title “A night time swim and possible celebrity sighting in NYC” wasn’t going to cut it so I made the easiest fix I could think of for this “pool party” –

Experience New York City’s best nighttime pool party with sensation Fuerza Bruta. For the month of July tickets are only $35 with promotion code FBCARD5. Bring your friends, grab a drink, be ready to cool off and celebrate summer in the city with an overhead pool, powerful ariel performances, high-energy music, creating an exhilarating experience. Fuerza Bruta transforms into a dance party for the cast and audience alike. Come join the party.

A celebrity favorite, you could find yourself dancing to the heart pumping beats with some of your favorite bold face names, like Neil Patrick Harris, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Russell Brand, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Fergie, Rachel McAdams, Jude Law, John Legend, Pierce Brosan, Tyra Banks, Shakira, Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams or Serena Williams, all of whom have recently enjoyed a Fuerza Bruta night.

Throughout the month of July at the Daryl Roth Theatre, tickets are available for $35 (a savings of $45!). For more information (and photos of Jude Law and the cast after dancing in the Fuerza Bruta waterfall) please visit www.fuerzabrutanyc.com.

Fuerza Bruta performances are Wednesday through Friday at 8:00 PM, Saturday at 7:00 & 10:00 PM and Sunday at 7 PM. To take advantage of this offer, enter code at BroadwayOffers.com or call (212)-947-8844 and mention code or bring offer printout to the Daryl Roth Theatre box office located at 101 East 15th Street. Tickets are subject to availability.

Despite the fact that they call it a pool party, it doesn’t sound like you actually get to swim. Apparently you just watch the show (although there is some forced audience participation). I guess this also means that you’re not real likely to see any celebrities since they might not get to sit (or stand) near them.

If you’re curious, this article talks about some of the challenges they faced getting the show set up.
