Train travel
Here's an interesting story about a train ride but will I have a chance to take it before it's too late?
Portland & Western Railroad, which operates the state-sponsored excursion train, because the Explorer makes its last run between Linnton and Astoria on Monday, Sept. 20. Service is scheduled to resume in May 2005 for one last season, so if you've intended to make the trip, now's the time to buy tickets, at 800-872-7245.
No, I don't get any money for this endorsement (and this sin't really an endorsement since I've never taken this train) but I've been on a few train rides, and I firmly believe that train travel is better than car travel. And on this train ride, you can elarn about history and see bald eagles.

Train is very exaiting way of travel.
In the summer of 2004, I went from Seoul to Busan by train. In this travel can offer a relaxing, economical alternative to flying or driving long distances with scenic views of the countryside and time to enjoy friends.
Train travel is certainly more relaxing than driving. You can get up and walk around. No traffic jams to stress you out... I like train rides. I like playing cards, going to the dining car, the countryside along train tracks is usually better than along highways...
Oh and one more thing. It's possible to meet other travelers!
Posted by: James Trotta at November 18, 2004 2:52 AMI've traveled europe by train for a month.
I used a eurail pass, it was very expensive but it was more comfortable than bus and it helped me to get many countries.
I've meet some people and took some christ-mas cookies from them. That time was really good memory for me.
I want to travel to europe again by train.
