Learn from Bill McGee's misfortune
Here's an informative article about some problems that have cropped up while this one reporter was traveling. He's been promised one rate over the phone (by Delta), made the reservation, and then told at the airport he has to pay a much higher rate. He's been billed for phone class twice by the Kensington Close Hotel in London. He's been billed twice for a Spirit flight.
It seems that all of the situations except the Delta one have been resolved.

I'm trying to plan a vacation and would like some suggestions. Beaches are a must, as well as someplace warm since we will be traveling in late September. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Posted by: Stacie at February 12, 2005 3:07 AMHey, Stacie, I think you should go to somewhere in the Carribean in September. You're likely to get a nice breeze on the beach that time of year.
Posted by: Nator at February 12, 2005 7:43 AMHi Stacie - I don't know where you live, but if the Carribean isn't your thing you might consider Asia. Singapore is one of the expensive options, but the beches on Sentosa Island were nice and not too crowded when I was there.
Hua Hin in Thailand is a totlally different scene. I think I've written about it on this blog.
Then there's Malaysia. I'll be going to Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi this summer. I think I've writtena bout that one too.
You could try them all if you have the time. My wife and I did that. I think I wrote about it...
