I have not been to Europe. I hope, God willing, that I would be able to spend 5 to 7 weeks visiting the Eurpoean countries that hold my interest. I am single and over 50 yrs of age. I would love to take a trip with a group of singles around my age. Unfortunately, I live paycheck to paycheck and have no savings, except for some IRA's invested in the stock market.

I would love to hear from people who have been in the countries I wish to visit and tell me about their experiences. I am interested in the people, the culture and some special places found off the beaten path.

Thank you.
Alicia

Although I have been (30 years ago), I think my son would be a good contact for you. He has been over there about a year ago and would very much enjoy sharing his experiences. Since he went as a college student, he travelled low-budget.

Where is it you are interested in going? I would be happy to share some stories. I spent three weeks backpacking around Europe and am returning to live in England this fall. I enjoyed it greatly and read about adults your age going all the time. You should definitely try it.

My husband is retired military and spent a number of years in Germany. (His first wife is from there) He is ALWAYS reliving his ADVENTURES while stationed there. I wish I could float down the Rhine river and attend Oktoberfest. I'm jealous. If I won the contest, I would like to go with my mom or a friend - someone other than my husband - so I could come home and relive MY adventures!

My sister and brother-in-law live in Germany with their 3 children. They are active duty military and plan to be there one more year. I took my grandmother with me one year ago to visit them for 2 weeks. It was the most amazing vacation I have ever had. We took a tour down the Rhine River, visited castles along the way, did some wine tasting, shopping, and much, much more! I would love to be able to visit other parts of Europe.
