Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas ship facts

Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas is being launched in June 2006 (and no, it's not too early to book a cruise on Freedom of the Seas). According to Royal Caribbean, Freedom of the Seas will be sailing year-round, 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami. Ports of call will include Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Labadee, Hispaniola (remember the post about cruise lines and false or misleading advertising like calling Haiti Hispaniola).

A few highlights of Freedom of the Seas:

3,600 passengers with double occupancy and 4,370 if you count triples and quads. Don't forget the 1,400 crewmembers.

An ice-skating rink.

Rock-climbing.

Giant hot tubs suspended on “wings” 114 feet above the ocean.

A water park.

Onboard surfing.

Flat-screen TVs in all staterooms.

They keep building them bigger and bigger, and the service and food eeps going down hill.
We have been on 16 RCCL cruises, and 4 others, NONE are as good as the original 5 or so.
Its sad that they only think of how much more money they can make.//

That's not what I wanted to hear - I just got my NCL credit card! It has been a few years since I've been on a cruise...

As A long time passenger on R.C.also A member of Crown and Anchor I am am surprised you do not have any gaurenteed singles that some of the other (not many) lines have. If not that, how about a singels cruise on one of your smaller ships. Two of my buddies that prevously joined me on trips passed on so that leaves me not being able to afford the almost double fare traveling alone and still enjoy the casenos, side trips, buying gifts ETC. HELP,HELP the senior's that are still alive and wanting to travel, especially on R.C.line thanks for your time. Mrs. M Clark-Box 14-Block Island R.I.02807
