Aruba vacation ideas

On Jan. 8, 2007, new US passport initiatives will require US citizens to travel to / from Aruba with passports. Aruba doesn't want to lose US tourists so some hotels have specials planned:

Westin Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino - $50 food and beverage credit per person, per stay. Valid through 2007. Contact: 1.866.978.5792

Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino - $75 food and beverage credit per room. Valid through 2007. Contact: 1.888.PARADISE

Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort - $25 food and beverage credit per person, per stay (minimum of five-nights). Valid January 3through December 17, 2007. Contact: 1.800.932.6509

MVC Eagle Beach - $25 food and beverage credit per person, per stay (minimum five-night stay).Valid January 3through December 17, 2007. Contact: 011.297.587.0110

Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba - $50 car rental voucher per person for guests staying five nights or more. Valid for reservations made now through December 31, 2006 for travel through 2007. Contact: 011.297.586.1836

If those discounts aren't enough, try to win the Newsday Aruba Marriott contest (open only to subscribers).

If you want to go to Aruba sooner, Aruba is hosting the sixth annual International Aruba Beach Tennis Open scheduled for November 3 - 5, 2006. "For three days, over 350 tennis lovers are expected to hit the powdery beaches of Aruba at Moomba Beach and enjoy live music, barbeques, dance shows, and more." Sounds pretty interesting.

Don't forget my old entries: Aruba restaurant recommendations and Aruba hotels & timeshares.

I hope you are trying to be "sick" funny like that TV program that showed the AU with a sting ray out of his chest.
If you even think about sending people to Aruba I hope you go out of business. ArtM

the wife and i went there and stayed in an all inclusive beach front and we loved it, had a wonderfull time and would go back anytime, just because of one bad thing happening there doesn't mean the place is bad, if that was the case we would all leave the usa with all the stuff that happens here. people use your brains.

I'm going to agree with James and not just because we have the same first name. While I've never been to Aruba, I have lots of friends who have gone to Aruba several times and always enjoy their vacations. People who have been to both places say Aruba is safer than Jamaica (or just about any city in America). I think we actually had this same discussion on one of the previous blog entries about Aruba.

And just for the record, I don't send people anywhere. I help people decide where to go and what to do when they get there by sharing the best travel information I have. Since this is all free, I can't really go out of business either...

I can't believe people are still calling for a boycott of Aruba. I'm leaving for 12 glorious days on Friday and I can't wait. Aruba is, by far, safer than the US and ANY other island destination. One missing girl is not the entire island or it's peoples fault. Never saw anyone boycotting the several cruise lines who had people go missing. Come on people, get over it already. The island is wonderful and so are it's people!!

Aruba Rocks!!
The best place for picking up drunk college age babes from the USA. They love to get nasty away from home, plus the local authorities won't do squat if things go awry. Go to carlos & Charlies to get Laid!!

Maybe comments like the one from Vic LoBue is what will keep people away from Aruba. Vic get a life, you need to travel all the way to Aruba to get "laid"? This is suppose to be comments about vacations, not the desperate life of Vic.
