Vermont blog from someone in the tourism industry
Before I went to Cebu, I heard about a Vermont travel blog that I've been meaning to share with you. Those of you who have been with me since before August 2006 and have good memories may recall that I was a camp counselor in Burlington Vermont in the summer of 2000.
The other blog was able to give me a few updates. The information should be pretty accurate since the blogger runs a B&B in Vermont... Actually the B&B looks so good that I'm about to email them about possibly going there for a little anniversary thing this August...

Vermont is a beautiful state, and certainly one of the "greenest" I've seen...but then again, I live in Texas, so not much to compare with. I visited Vermont two summers ago, primarily in Northfield near Montpelier where my former high school teacher is a professor there at Norwich Academy. I also spent several days in Stowe, which is a fascinating place. Stayed at the inexpensive Snowdrift, which was convenient and comfortable enough. There are several excellent B&B's and lodges and more exclusive resorts to choose from, however. We drove to the Trapp Family Lodge (of Sound of Music fame) for an excellent dinner, lunched at various places, and visited several other attractions in the area including Mt. Mansfield, Stowe Mountain Resort, Ben & Jerry's, etc. The quaint little shops in the village of Stowe are a must...I do love boutiques and unusual things. All in all,the scenery, the food, and the people make Vermont a great vacation spot.
