Ever heard of Oceania Cruises
This is an interesting article on the business aspect of Oceania Cruises. They've been successful in finding a niche in the cruise industry providing luxury cruises from 10-35 days at a good value. They're doing so well that Royal Caribbean is entering the niche with their new brand called Azamara Cruises.
The ships we're tlaking about here are much smaller than Liberty of the Seas. Oceania has cruises in all major continents, but I chose one itinerary to give you an example:
1 Rio de Janeiro, BrazilI think this shows that the itineraries are a little different with this comapny although they do have regular Caribbean tours. Posted by James Trotta at May 30, 2007 2:33 PM | TrackBack

Oceania is a great alternative, no ties on board called Country club casual is building a great following and has several new builds on the Horizon
Posted by: Ralph Cooper at May 30, 2007 5:19 PMHave sailed on several Oceania cruises (including in previous incarnation as Renaissance). They are terrific. The smaller ship and fewer passengers make the cruise a delight. I like their itineraries as well; no fomal wear is terrific for both packing and expense for those of us less formally inclined! Have sailed Athens to Istanbul, Dover to Barcelona, Barcelona to Lisbon and most recently Rome to Barcelona. Enjoyed each cruise very much. Bon voyage! Delighted to hear they may be adding ships!
