What do FEMA, the IRS, and TSA have in common?

Americans don't like any of them. This article talks about complaints Americans have with TSA expressed on the TSA blog.

Apparently, commenting on this blog can make a difference:

Last week, readers scored a point after some complained about a security procedure. At some airports, screeners had been ordering passengers to remove all electronics from their bags, rather than just laptops. There is no such rule. “We learned that this exercise was set up by local T.S.A. officers,” the agency reported back on the blog. By Monday afternoon, the word had gone out to T.S.A. screeners nationally: BlackBerrys, iPods and other electronics stay in bags.
Of course, people complain about TSA everywhere, even on this blog. But it's nice to know that on the TSA blog management may be reading...

I guess the bloggers missed where cell phones are now being made into guns and can fire up to four shots at close range. Imagine terrorists bringing those on board your flight.

P-Lease . . . do they expect us to believe this nonsense? Having spent several years working in one government position or another, I can tell you that the last thing any government agency wants is to hear what their "customers" think about their "service." It's not like they need to make anyone happy. What would we do if we didn't lke the "service" we got from the TSA -- go to another airport in another country?

This is the ignorance that most people have leveled against FEMA. The travel trailers that people complained about due to the formaldehyde fumes etc. FEMA doesn't manufacture trailers....period. Why don't these folks complain to the manufacturer...Fleetwood one of the largest suppliers is just one of a few that supplied the trailers. As far as bungling disasters...look no further than the mayor of New Orleans and the former governor of Louisiana. Also..if you're warned of a potentially catastrophic event on the horizon...most rational folks will take that to heart and leave. Personal accountability never happened in Louisiana and the American public is still paying for it.

Reality is that FEMA is comprised of educated upper-level executive management strategists running the show and delegating to the incompetent field minions. And please, spare me the heartwarming stories about these losers that allege to be "committed to public service" or dedicated to their crafts.

Look at the luggage monkeys, security checkpoints, and the other idiots that are paid to work 'on the ground', in the field, or at the airport to carry out the plan of FEMA, the IRS, or any other gov't agency. Walk into any Social Security office and take in the prevailing negligence if you really want to be disgusted.

The demographic stats are identical.

The TSA here is doing a very good job in terms of customer service if you compare this to the UK airport screening agency. The staff in UK are downright rude and idiotic.

I find it interesting that people continue to complain about government agencies. Yet, many turn to them for assistance time and again. Few, if any, have actually observed the workers, but have formed an opinion based not on experience, but on what they hear. Then too, because some do not want to acknowledge their own stupidity, they shift the blame to guess who - a government agency. Not every government agency is mismanaged, nor every private corporation. The world is filled with some people who work hard, and those who do nothing but sit back and complain.
