Full body imaging scanners & airport security

I was reading today about how TSA is begging people not to boycott the full body image scanners and cause delays at this busy travel time in America since Thanksgiving is November 25, 2010. I personally have no problem with someone seeing my silhouette but one of the professors at my university was really adamant about Constitutional guarantees against illegal search and seizure. I don’t want to get into a debate about Constitutional law but I am curious how many of you object to these scans.

Also, I’m curious to see what happens with all the Thanksgiving air traffic. Will it be just the usual delays or will the dislike for the body scanner make things even worse?

During the conversation I got in a little joke that you can steal if you want. I told my colleagues I was working out pretty hard so I’d look good for my scan.

I don’t care if the scanner gives off minimal radiation I simply don’t want it. Any amount more than what we get our regular environment is too much for me.

Wonder if a thermal type scanner would work? There would be no harm to us then.
