Georgia for snow-tubing?

I learned something from this press release; who knew you could go snow-tubing in Georgia? Tubing sounds great to me because I realized the one time I went skiing that I did not feel like attaining the skill required to go fast. The second day of my ski vacation I went sledding…

Snow Mountain, Atlanta’s only snow park, is back! New for this year are more tubing lanes plus two moving sidewalks – that means more time in the snow and less time in line. The 400 foot tubing hill and SnowZone activities will be open weekends through March 7th, so don’t miss out on Atlanta’s winter wonderland!

Introduction to Winter Birdwatching

At Sweetwater Creek State Park this Saturday, a ranger will teach up-and-coming birdwatchers about different types of binoculars, field guides and habitat types. A guided walk will cover the reservoir and the White Trail up to Jack’s Hill as you look for winter migrants like waterfowl, hawks, sparrows and other songbirds.
